Defined as being made for a day or used for a short time only, ephemera is a special class of collectibles. Advertising items from matchbooks to trolley posters, photographs, tickets, campaign buttons and ribbons, posters, postcards, broadsides, and more… all created to be used and forgotten. EDS loves finding the old-time collections where everything was saved.
Rare Books, Manuscripts and Documents
These items have been a part of the EDS business model since our beginning. Historical documents, rare magazines and publications, land grants and other paper goods—we have successfully sold these items over the last two decades.
Although most common books have lost their value, we still see a strong market for true rarities. We are always looking for original manuscripts, first editions and signed or inscribed copies, finely printed limited edition art books, fine bindings, rare antiquarian and incunabula titles, and more.
