Fine, numismatically important coins have more value as collectibles than their silver or gold melt value. Brian Sample is a PCGS dealer, and Professional Coin Grading Service is the recognized leader in the grading of coins. Graded coins are encapsulated in a sealed container and affixed with a grade. For high value coins, we often recommend grading.  Quite rare, we see only a handful of the highest quality coins each year. Grading not only clearly authenticates coins, it assigns a condition assessment which determines its value to buyers. Not all fine coins need to be graded to sell—only rarities and those in exceptional conditions. We can make a recommendation and handle all necessary grading for your finest pieces.

Non-precious metal coins and currency, such as nickels, pennies, paper currency or ancient coins of copper, silver, gold, or bronze can be extremely valuable if they are rare, have key dates, or are in excellent condition.  Few examples meet these criteria outside of specialized collections, and we will assess your items to assist you in making the right decision on how to sell.
